How to Shred the formatted/empty drive?

I usually shred files (mostly family pictures) from Storage drives before handing over to another person. This time I forgot to shred files, and deleted files unintentionally. Now I've formatted drive too, but you know recovery is still possible. Now what should I do now ? How to shred drive to make recovery impossible. Thanks in advance.
