Kentucky Driving Age?

I've heard about some supposed "new driving age" in Kentucky. I will be turning 16 in early August. I heard that after June, the permit phase will last one year, instead of the 6 month permit/6 month restricted phase. Is there any truth to this? I really hope not, but I've not found anything conclusive. Thank you to all who respond.
