Do you think that bearded dragons are similar to monitor lizards?

do you think bearded dragons are kind of similar to monitor lizards? not in appearance but temperament, etc. but seem to be a bit more smarter than monitors like they tend to enjoy being in the presence of humans and love to interact with people and will even show affection and play towards you, tegus seem to show affection toward their owners/keepers, etc. and monitor lizards have been observed displaying "play" behavior and so have bearded dragons, but i'll say beardies seem like dogs covered in scales more than being similar in temperament to monitor lizards and plus monitors tend to be more aggressive, nervous, etc. around people unlike bearded dragons are, they'll even follow you around in their tank like a dog and some house cats do when there following you around the house or when your fish is following you round and round, up and down in their tanks lol but do you think bearded dragons are more similar to monitor lizards or mammals (specifically dogs) in temperament and stuff and what do you like about bearded dragons more than you like about a dog or monitor lizard? explain why?
