Is having faith about something coming true the same as having a belief about something coming true?

You're correct on the aspect of faith verses a belief.A belief"in my opinion" is something that was either told to you or you read about it or heard it from a friend or something of that nature. Faith comes into play when a belief becomes a possibility that you are willing to believe.The more believing the more faith grows in that belief and in the case of GOD for example, once faith has developed the belief become just as real as anything you can imagine.Faith grows depending on what you're willing to believe.
