To the supporters of evolution: I have a question about nipples- can you help?

They serve no purpose (on a man). Yes, I am aware that all embryonic humans have nipples before the sex is determined. Yes, I know humans are mammals. But if evolution is true, why do men still have nipples? Why do other male creatures still have nipples? Are (male) nipples somehow majestically and magically special, and have special exemption from the winds of change?
