So I just finished up the case called "The Golden Butterfly". Or something like that. At the end, both Hugo and the child molester guy were thrown into interrogation. Questions about HIV and Herpes 2?

Last possible exposure was in November 8, 2011 and up to date, I have done at least 6 HIV tests (latest was on March 30, 2011 which was past the 4th month mark) and all were negative. My dad offered to buy me a laptop for my birthday, and I would definitely like to take him up on that offer. I am starting my senior year of high school, and would like to be able to use this laptop throughout college as well. It depends on what controller you are using. Are you using your motherboard's ethernet controller? You need the Drivers from the motherboard installation disc (one comes with EVERY motherboard). The Video Controller depends on what make video card you have installed. Same as Multimedia Audio Controller. If you are using the audio on the motherboard itself then that will be on the motherboard installation disc too.

Why isn't my iPod recognized by my computer?

I have a 2nd generation iPod nano 4GB. When I plug in in to my computer, there is no response. iTunes doesn't pop up, the iPod doesn't charge, and windows explorer and the device manager do not recognize it as an iPod, mass storage device, or unknown device. The only thing that happens is that the iPod lights up when I plug it in. I've tried three different iPod USB cables and both USB ports. I tried putting the iPod in disk mode, resetting it, and restarting my computer. I also re-installed iTunes and tried a different computer. Other iPods work on this computer without problems. I followed many troubleshooting guides on the Apple website with no success. Please help!

Is red bleeding at six weeks pregnant with no cramps a miscarriage?

I'm six weeks and one day pregnant with no signs if any problems until this morning i had some red blood after showering. It could be compared to a light period and only lasted a few minutes, then turned brown and disappeared completely. I had a pap smear five days ago and it was painful. My doctor said it is too early to tell anything and that i would have to wait four days until a conclusive ultrasound could be done. I have no cramps. i am fat. overweight and i have no life, i basically have this problem because i eat when im bored, sometimes im really bored so i eat even though im not hungry but i dont realize until later. Try your best to make use of what's there and offered before trying to change things. College is expensive so that $50 dollars for the mattress topper thing would be better spent going to your meal plan. You can't buy a new mattress or desk chair because you'd have to store the old one that's already there and you wouldn't have a place to store it. Dorm mattresses/chairs/desks aren't the best but it's the dorms so everyone makes do. They serve their purpose. The room will have a closest and space in the closet but I would suggest stack able storage containers to save space. Not all dorms have the raised bed, that's only a certain style of dorm bed. There's no need for the shoe hanger, it just takes up space and you won't wear most of those shoes anyways.

Should i be worried about my HIV test?

i had protected sex with a girl who i really didn't know almost 14 weeks ago. well i discovered she has a rather promiscuous past and i made a mistake. i have been worried ever since about HIV. I used a condom a whole time and it was a spermicidal condom with astroglide lube i had bought. i had fingered her and put my finger in her mouth then kissed her not to long after. is that a mode of transmission? i had no cuts or sores in my fingers or mouth but my gums do bleed a little when i brush my teeth but i had not brushed before that encounter. i having been having anxiety for the past 3 months and have not been able to focus right. i believe she gave me herpes because i tested positive on the herpes igm test but negative on the igg test meaning it could have been a recent infection. i have not had any symptoms to herpes however. i will take a herpes igg test in july to see if i really do have herpes. as for HIV i tested negative at 6 weeks and negative again at 11 weeks so im going back next week to test at 14 weeks which is then considered conclusive but still worried. i feel like im having ARS symptoms because i have a slight sore throat but that is all. i had a headache and a slight sore throat only on my right side yesterday but took theraflu and the headache is gone but i still have a slight sore throat on my right side. i have a history of high bp and it averages at 140/80 and has even gone as high as 180/85 over the anxiety of this encounter. i cant stop worrying and cant concentrate or relax because i feel i have HIV and or herpes.

Why do i keep getting unexplained bruises?

Started almost 5 weeks ago when i had a small but random nosebleed. Went for complete blood count the next day the first bruise popped up on my forearm. Went to get the results a few days later and WBC, RBC and platelets were all normal. The first bruised healed and then came back last week in the same spot, as well as another small but unexplained one on my thigh. Today i noticed another small one on my lower leg near my shin. Started three new meds (cipralex, xanax and singulair) but dont think they are the cause as the first bruise appeared before starting any of them. Most people say i should trust the blood work but now im thinking it was 4 weeks ago and too long go to be conclusive. Been into the doctors a couple of times a week and no one seems to think its serious so why does it keep happening and why cant i get it off my mind?

Why percocet is not showing up in test results?

I am disabled with AV Necrosis in both shoulders and legs. My doctor prescribed percocet for my pain. I have to take 2 tablets (5-325 dosage ea) 2 times a day. I've been taking them religiously since they were prescribed (approx 3 years) according to my Doctor's directions. I had to take a urine test but had to take the test twice because the first test results came back in conclusive. The 2nd test results came back showing no percocet in my system. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

I have (had) a Samsung Galaxy Ace and tho I really liked the form, functionality, and features, I just chucked it due to battery life. Am a moderate user, I don't do a lot of games or watch videos. I do use social media apps and some browsing. The battery will not last me through the day and I'd find myself avoiding to use the phone for fear that the battery would drain. Would have been good if that had an extra battery for it but it doesn't so for my purpose, it did not fit the bill. Hope this helps.

We get thirsty when we lose 1% of our bodies water supply. Not all water stays in the body for instance in urine, sweat and even blood if you were to get cut. Saliva is just one thing our body uses water in and is another form of water loss. As we cannot keep all the water in the body, although we are efficient as mammals with kidneys that try and keep as much water in the blood stream there is always going to be losses and therefore we become thirsty so we know to refill that supply.

I Am So Disgusted With Certain Family Members Right Now?

My mother has always been controlling and co-dependent on her children. Don't get me wrong, she was also very loving and nurturing but...controlling. She has always been both emotionally and financially co-dependent on her children, now aged 34 & 36. I finally had enough and moved out at the age of 29yrs and have lived independently since. My sibling lives with her but strongly desires to move out into his own place. He won't do this out of fear of what will happen to my mother. He refuses to admit this to her but has told me this is the reason he hesitates to leave. My mother has been on unemployment for maybe 1 1/2 - 2 yrs. She is trying to collect SSI and disability. As you probably know...this is a time consuming process but she wasn't exactly in a hurry. She now only has about 1.5 month left to collect unemployment. Recently, my sibling voiced his desire to have his own place. My mother agreed and when he asked what she planned to do....she told him she would move in with a complete stranger and rent a room. CRAZINESS! I told her I refuse to condone this and told her she will put her belongings in storage and move-in with me. I explained to her my brother MUST eventually move out into his own place and learn to live independently. She too will eventually move out into a one bedroom and learn to live independently. I have become extrememly angry over this issue. Not to mention, just yesterday I learned my brother may have an older child he never knew about until recently. Mind you....he collects social security and disability. Financially he cannot afford a child. He is in no position in life to father a child....period. I am angry because my mother is co-dependent on us. I am angry because her co-dependency as forced her children to sacrifice having their own lives to contribute to her life. I am angry because I have worked hard all of my adult life and worked hard through college not to rely on the system to support me. I am 99% certain that I have strep throat. I have all the symptoms that point to it, and they all present in about the correct order. However, a doctor isn't allowed to prescribe antibiotics without a conclusive diagnosis, which requires a throat culture. Now, I cannot stand throat cultures. They're one of my biggest medical fears. Becoming a paleontologist?

Currently, I'm an honours anthropology student, and I've always been fascinated by paleo since I was a child. Dinosaurs, the Permian mammal-like reptiles, and the woolies of the upper Cenozoic, those three broad groups always fascinated me. And of course, human evolution. I'm extremely fascinated by primate paleontology and behavioural ecology, subjects that I am enrolled in for this up-coming year. My original goal was to pursue paleoanthropological research for my Master's and Doctoral research after completing my undergraduate degree, but the more and more I study paleoanthropology, the more I want to study just paleontology in general. But making the jump from the social science faculty to the natural science faculty is not an easy thing to do, and its pretty much set up to be that way. I have been thinking about dropping down from honours specialization in anthropology to a major in biological anthropology, and taking on a major in geology as well. My institution offers a "Major in Earth and Planetary Sciences" which requires you to take an arsenal of core courses: plate tectonics, environments, and products; structural geology; crystallography and optics; stratigraphy and sedimentology; paleobiology and paleoecology; 11 day summer field course; a course on petrology, and then several electives. If I took a double major in biological anthropology and earth and planetary sciences, would I be eligible to apply to the geology department to take a M.Sc in geology? Ultimately, I will probably end up just doing primate paleontology, but I want a broad paleontology background, so that if I want to take up research on another taxonomic group I can do so. I don't like the fact that anthropology limits one to studying the primate/prosimian group.

How to fix the middle armrest and glove compartment in a Chevy Malibu?

So when my husband buys a new car he'll be giving me his 1998 Chevy Malibu (um...yay?) It runs okay and I only really need it to make short runs to the store, laundromat, whatever. But I would like to spruce it up a little before I get it. Last year we had a break-in. There was nothing to take (NOT EVEN THE STEREO!) but the middle armrest/storage compartment was ripped off of its hinges and the handle to the glove compartment was broken off. The glove compartment isn't that big of a deal but the armrest is literally a hazard. If I brake too hard, it goes forward and throws the car into neutral. Can these things be fixed? And if so, how?

Difference between haplotype diversity and genetic distance/population differentiation?

I'm take a marine mammal course for school and am reading a chapter about population genetic structure. In the first section of the chapter we were discussing a low number of haplotypes in certain populations, most likely due to a bottleneck event. In the next section we began discussing population differentiation (which is the same thing as genetic distance, right?). Well, if I understand this right, a haplotypes is basically a combination of alleles and wouldn't population differentiation result from different sets of alleles (or haplotypes)? So, my question is how these two are different? Wouldn't lots of population differentiation mean that there are many different haplotypes in that population and vice versa (low population differentiation = few haplotypes)?

I've had meniscus surgery before and they shaved my meniscus, but I have been having pain in my knee again and the doctor sent me for an MRI. When we got to look at the MRI, he said that it wasn't conclusive because the MRI shows something that looks like a tear, but they don't know if it's new or if it's from the shaving from the first surgery. My marriage is over and I blame AA.?

I'm finally moving out next week, after my wife's 14th month of "recovery", at her urging. And I have to say I'm pissed off. She entered AA because of a drinking problem consisting of two glasses of wine a night. Which I hardly saw as a problem. But her involvement in the program took over her life. She goes to at least three meetings a week, only hangs out with AA friends, all of whom are single moms, and she stopped relating to me (and our 5 year old son, together as a family) a year ago. She now chairs the meetings, etc. Constantly on the phone with sponsors or people she's sponsoring etc. I see AA and her addiction to the gratification she's getting from it, as the reason for this. I've posted on this before, but now that this marriage has reached a conclusive end I am looking for more thoughts on this question. Is it a known thing that AA can affect a marriage negatively in this way? Ever since she entered it I lost her, and now completely...ten years went poof just like that and turned a vibrant woman into a zombie who just stands there before me and tells me I "really should just join an alanon group"

My Xbox 360 only says it has 451 MB total. I added up in the memory section of the dashboard all the memory i was using and all the memory that was free but it only adds up to 451. But i thought the smallest xbox was 20 G? It says when i open up the memory tab "memory unit" under storage devices. But i've seen on other xboxes that it says hard drive, not memory unit. Last night I was trying to import some movie footage, but it said my hard drive needed like 7 GB! I have a ton of files on my computer but for some reason whenever I move the files I don't need to my trash and clear the trash, it doesn't give me any more room. I'm taking an anatomy class at my college and we talked about this the other day. For the most part, people who don't circumcise because of religious reasons do it for hygiene. The idea is that the foreskin traps bacteria, which makes it easier to get infections. Also, recent research shows that uncircumcised men may be more likely to get STD/STI's because the foreskin traps certain viruses and supposedly creates an ideal breeding ground for some of the nastier ones. As far as sensitivity goes, none of the research that I've read is conclusive; some say it decreases sensation and some say it increases it. But, I'm no expert so don't quote me or anything.
